This 1/2-day live virtual training session will explain why and how the Government performs cost realism analysis and what can be done to limit a contractor’s risk. The course will include real-world examples of evaluation methodologies and probable cost adjustments from open-source source selection decisions and GAO protests. This course is best suited for Government Contractor staff in pricing, contracts, finance, and business capture. Students should already have a good understanding government contracts pricing concepts, cost accounting, and a basic exposure level knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
The is a full-day version of ½ day training session that provides students with additional examples and case studies and includes class exercises. The expanded session also allows time for more significant Q&A and the opportunity to contextualize concepts to the Client’s recently completed, ongoing, or upcoming proposals.
This ½-day live virtual training session is especially designed to help non-pricing practitioners better understand what data and information is needed in a typical cost volume, why the information is needed, and how the Government evaluates the cost/price proposal. At the end of the training students will understand both importance and complexity of developing a compliant Cost Volume. The course is ideally suited for proposal managers, junior-mid pricing staff, and small business executives.
This ½-day live virtual training session gives students the basic tools and techniques needed develop winning pricing strategies and understand the importance of performing early pricing activities to maximize p(win). Students will learn how to adopt a pricing life cycle process to improve their pricing strategy and tactics. The training content both price-based and cost-based pricing strategies and re-enforces the importance of past performance data collection and good cost estimating practices and processes. This course is best suited for proposal managers, business capture, junior pricing staff, small business executives, and anyone wishing to expand their knowledge and understanding of government contracts pricing strategies.
This full-day live virtual training session is especially designed to help estimators understand basic cost element concepts, the importance of BOEs, the components of a BOE, planning and work breakdown structures, cost estimating methods, key criteria of effective BOEs, and discussion of common issues found in BOEs and how to avoid them. At the end of the training students will understand both importance and complexity of developing a compliant BOE. The course is ideally suited for proposal managers, pricing personnel, capture personnel, and technical subject matter experts.
Notes for Services & Rates
Note 1: Pricing engagements of significant duration and effort will be eligible for a volume discount of up to 10%, which will be reflected in the cost estimate for the task order.
Note 2: All Training courses are "Virtual" and conducted on-line via Microsoft Teams. In-person training is available and is quoted specific to the client location. Training courses are Firm Fixed Price. The following terms apply to all training courses:
· The minimum order quantity for any course is three (3) students.
· Minimum of two weeks advance notice required to order and reserve the training date.
· The minimum order quantities are per training session cannot be divided into multiple sessions.
· Upon ordering a training session, a non-refundable 50% deposit is due immediately to reserve the training date. FPG will invoice the client for the entire amount with 50% deposit credited and the remaining balance due immediately upon completion of the training course.
· List of students, including name, position/title, company email address, and phone number are required at time of reservation.
· Individual student cancellations or no-shows are non-refundable. However, the client may reschedule the entire training session (no later than 48 hours prior to the training event) to a mutually agreed future date at no additional charge.
· FPG will email training course materials to all students on the day of the training event.
